Almost Orange

I don't know if it's Burl's love for red and orange or all those fall fanatics out there, but I'm starting to warm up to the idea of decorating for fall.

No piles of leaves, hay stacks, faux spiderwebs, or ornate wreathes.  For me, I'm branching out (oh gosh, no pun intended) with an almost-orange pumpkin.  I chose it over the cream and pale blue that always scream my name.

It's called progress.  In fact, if I was the person who named objects, Progress would be her name.  And with curves like that, she is definitely a she.  We see you, girl, we see you all posted up on the table.
Looking good, sista.

  1. It was my son who got me into the whole 'Seasonal Decorating' thing....and now that he's moved out on his own, I find I still do a little bit, just for ME!

  2. It is beautiful. I don't do much seasonal decorating, but did put a pumpkin on the coffee table. That counts for something, right?

  3. that made me smile! i read the first paragraph before the picture of your pumpkin scrolled into view. i know a lot of "over decorators," so the fact that a single pumpkin was your decoration struck me as funny. :) i really looks great though, and simple is GOOD!
