Playground

Burl was introduced to the playground today.

After Broseph left, I needed to get outside and get active, so I took Burl four doors down to a pretty sweet playground.

Since I was there by myself, I had to help him down the slide and take the pictures.  Safety was set aside, his life was risked, so please enjoy these pictures.

He was having so much going down the slide, trying to eat the bark, and watching people and dogs pass by.  We will definitely be returning!

Hasta Luego, Broseph

I'm not going to miss the mess (including a shoe print on the back of his bathroom door), running the dishwasher EVERYDAY, the noise, higher water bill, and more.  (Wait, I WILL miss the noise.)

But I'm going to miss Broseph.  He moved out today and for a little bit will live about an hour and a half away.  There were no hugs between us-Burl got some, but not me.  No I love you's and I'm going to miss you's.  We're not those types of siblings.  As he got in his car, Burl and I waved goodbye from my front stoop and I rushed inside so he wouldn't see me.  I cried and I'm crying now.

It was a lot of fun having Broseph here for four months.  He a big help with Burl:  holding him while I was trying to get out the door, came through if I needed a last minute sitter, or just someone to run in the room to see what made Burl laugh.  It was great having him around as just one more person to love on Burl.

What I'm going to miss most about having living with Broseph is just getting to spend a little bit of time with him sharing in life.

Now I wonder, who is going to tease me about putting cream in my coffee, who is going to show me the latest YouTube videos and who is going to let me know how to improve my jokes?

Nitty Gritty

Is it ok that I write a post about nothing?  Oh goodness, that sounds boring, so let's say I'm writing a post about the nitty gritty.

I'll let you know why I don't have a post about anything fun, it's because

and it's not Christmas anymore.  So, for the next two or three months (be kind, March), I might be boring and lame and uninteresting to read.

It's called seasonal depression.  I'm not sure that it's a real term, but I'm owning it.  The cold is ok when it's Christmas and I get to wear a scarf, but come January, I LOATH the cold.  That cute scarf, it gets a little suffocating.  I get sick of layering and layering and layering.  The days are so short.  My nose runs constantly during my occasional runs outside.

I know it's not a real problem on the scope of problems, but for me, it means daydreaming and waiting for the days that involve shorts and tee's. sitting outside. swimming. long days and nights.  and for whatever reason, more parties.

Stay tuned for something a little more bright!
