How is it that one careless match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a campfire? -Author Unknown, but that is a great question that John and I ask ourselves. It's our new joke, because we can keep a wonderful fire burning at home in our fire pit when it doesn't matter. However, put us on a campsite where we need fire to make food, and we are the worst fire makers in the campsite.
Either way, we love a good bonfire. Campsite. Front yard. Neighbor's house. Wherever.
And don't forget the snacks.

Molly makes the best videos, and this one will have you gathering branches and friends this weekend for your own memory making bonfire! (Word has it she's now shooting for weddings! She's in Kentucky, but with a name like WanderLost, I know that she'll travel-I would give a high recommendation!)
A beautiful bonfire engagement photo shoot featured on Ruffled blog. Love the ambiance, those boots, and that quilt! I love this out of the box engagement session.
I think Burl needs his own campfire shirt for the season. Gosh, Honey Bee Tees has some fun designs for fall. (Even tire swing in the tree shirt-so fun!)
Urban Dictionary defines bonfire as "a social event that takes place near the mentioned fire."
That's what I'm talking about! I love bonfires because they are purely simple and social...the order of business is sit there and talk and poke at a fire. We are up for a bonfire all year long, but October is the peak season of fires.
John just split some fresh logs, so we are chomping at the bit for our next bonfire.
