This Week's Menu

Here it is.  My weekly menu.  Nothing Fancy.

However, I have Cooking Club this week.  Mediterranean Cooking Club.  Once again, I have the starters.  And once again, an avocado or two are involved.

Before I get to that, here be my food for the week:

Sausage and Tomato Bowtie
Szechuan Chicken, Rice and Veggies
Cream of Asparagus Soup, Orange Walnut Salad

I signed up for the "dip with bread."  Of course, hummus and pita bread were top of the list.  Being cooking club, I wasn't about to buy either one of those.  No, I was going to make them from scratch.  Until every recipe for pita bread involved "letting it rise." Blah.  I can't cook like that.  

Instead, I found this recipe for pita bread gone fancy.  It's from this great website, "where good taste meets good health." Check it.

Also, I didn't want to make the ordinary hummus.  I googled avocado hummus.  Slap me silly. There is such a thing!  I can't wait to put my face down in it and give it a go.
